2025 Fall Camporee at EBSR

The theme for the Camporee was Back to the Glacier, a play on Back to the Future. Scouts worked on pioneering skills by making A-frame walkers. There was also a competition to see who could erect the tallest structure. Troop 122 made a free standing “Lightning Rod” structure 35′ tall! There also was a fire-starting competition, map & compass activity, first aid practice, obstacle course relay, BB gun shooting. Troop 122 won the 1980’s trivia competition. Saturday evening, scouts all gathered in Fellowship hall for movie night and watched Back to the Future. Sunday morning after cleaning up the campsite, they went to have brunch at the Paul Bunyan restaurant in Lake Delton.

2024-25 activities

Maquoketa Caves trip. It was enjoyed immensely by everyone that we put a return trip on the calendar for 2026!

Tour of the UW Washburn Observatory, April 1, 2025. Clouds did not allow for cosmic viewing, but the tour was great!

2025 Spring Camporee at EBSR. Scouts learned about geocaching, compasses, and maps. Along the way, they found time to skip stones and play ultimate frisbee. After breaking camp on Sunday morning, the scouts were treated to breakfast at the Paul Bunyan restaurant in Wisconsin Dells.
